How does pre-ordering work?
When you place a pre-order you are placing an order for a wig made exclusively for you. You pay upfront, we begin crafting your wig to your chosen specifications, and it is delivered to your door within 4 weeks. Because every wig is individually made, we accept a limited number of orders each month to ensure quality.
What if I'm not happy when my wig arrives?
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not completely happy with your wig when it arrives, you can choose either a full refund or a free exchange — no hassle, no questions asked. Pre-ordering from Hair City is completely risk-free.
Can I choose my own length, density and colour?
Yes — that is exactly what makes this collection special. You select your preferred length, density, lace type and colour when you place your order. Your wig is then crafted to those exact specifications. No two wigs in this collection are the same.
What do the density options mean — 180%, 200% and 250%?
Density refers to how much hair is on the wig. 180% is our standard density — full, natural-looking and the most popular choice. 200% adds more volume and thickness throughout, while 250% is our maximum — a very full, glamorous look. If you are unsure, 180% is an excellent choice that the vast majority of our clients love.
What is the difference between HD lace and normal lace?
HD lace is an ultra-thin, near-invisible lace that melts into the skin for the most natural scalp appearance possible. Normal lace uses transparent lace with pre-bleached knots — durable, reliable, and a great choice for everyday wear. If a seamless hairline is your priority, HD lace is the upgrade worth choosing.
What is the difference between 13×4, Lagos hairline, 5×5 and other lace sizes?
These refer to the size and shape of the lace panel. A 13×4 is a full frontal — lace runs across the entire hairline giving maximum styling versatility. A Lagos hairline is wider and deeper, mimicking a very natural low hairline. A 5×5 gives more parting space than a 4×4 while remaining lower maintenance than a full frontal. If you are unsure, the 13×4 is our most popular choice.
Does it really arrive ready to wear?
Yes. Every wig is pre-bleached, pre-plucked and professionally styled before it leaves us. You open the box and put it on — no salon visit, no extra prep required.
How long does delivery take after my wig is made?
The 4-week timeline covers production and delivery. Once your wig passes our quality check it is dispatched and typically arrives within 2–3 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Changes or cancellations can be made within 24 hours of placing your order. After that window, production begins and changes may not be possible. Please reach out to us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to assist.
How do I know which cap size to order?
Use a soft tape measure around your hairline — across your forehead, behind your ears and around the nape of your neck. Average cap fits most heads (53–57cm). If you measure above 58cm we recommend a large cap. If unsure, contact us before ordering.
Can I see the range in person before ordering?
